There was a pivotal moment in my life when I realized I loved to write. I was a junior in high school, and I was taking an English AP class that changed everything. My writing extended beyond the classroom and grew in ways I never would've imagined. From that point on, I deviated from my life goal of becoming a doctor to pursue a career in communications.

I've come a long way since high school, and throughout college I dabbled with the idea of creating a blog. After tons of brainstorming, note-keeping and debating, I finally decided to create Simply Put, a blog with no exact direction. I know that it may seem strange for someone to brainstorm about a blog for four years and not have a specific topic or genre, but to me, that's the beauty of it. I've spent countless hours trying to fine-tune a name, ideas...when in reality, there's just so much I could talk about in my little corner of cyberspace.
